Severe storm & heavy rain threat through AM Friday

A couple more clusters of storms are forecast to move through Mid-Missouri from late Thursday evening through the early morning hours Friday. These storms will bring the threat of damaging wind and large hail along with heavy rain. The highest threat of severe storms is along and west of HWY 63 with a decreasing chance to the east.

Heavy rain is likely in these storms with the highest chance north of I-70 where 1-2 inches could fall through Friday. The ground is already saturated from recent rains and rivers & creeks are running high. Those who live in a flood prone area should pay close attention to river levels and rising water as heavy rain moves through.
