Traffic restrictions in downtown Columbia for water project
Traffic restrictions are scheduled in downtown Columbia starting Friday.
Columbia Water and Light will be removing a water service line at Elm and Ninth streets that used to serve Shakespeare’s Pizza’s building.
The work will cause the westbound lane of Elm between 8th and 9th streets to be closed on Friday.
On Monday, water crews will be working in the northbound lane of 9th street, between Elm and Locust.
A person will be at these locations to direct traffic during the work.
No water disruptions are expected for customers in the area during the project.
