Tracking hot and dry conditions this weekend

Today: Temperatures are continuing to rise throughout the rest of today. We will top out at 92 for today's highs with winds continuing out of the southwest. Clouds will remain clear with a bit of haze thanks to the wildfires to our west.

Tonight: Temperatures will slowly fall overnight into the low 70's with mostly clear sky conditions continuing.

Extended: The ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Team has issued a Weather Alert Day for Saturday and Sunday thanks to the heat indices climbing above 100. High humidity and temperatures will lead to increases in chances of heat exhaustion and dehydration if outside without water for extended periods of time. Sunday and Monday there are slight chances of scattered storms, but most of the viewing area will remain dry leading to increased chances of dangerous fires. Temperatures continue to increase heading into mid-week with highs into the mid-'90s once again.
