Two Harrisburg teens arrested for breaking into schools

Two Boone County teens are facing charges after investigators say they broke into schools.

Michael Eaves, 17, of Harrisburg and a 16-year-old boy were arrested by Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies on suspicion of burglarizing and stealing from the town’s elementary and middles schools.

The thefts happened back February but the two teens were just picked up this week.

Deputies think Eaves and the minor got into the schools through an unlocked window and took a computer, two-way radio equipment, two bicycles and other items.

According to court documents, investigators identified Eaves as a suspect through surveillance video.

Abc 17 reached out to Harrisburg superintendent Lynn Proctor, but she did not wish to comment.
