Consumers see gas prices the lowest they have been in a decade
Even after gas started to rise overnight it’s still the lowest it’s been since 2005.
According to AAA more than thirty-five million American’s will be traveling for the Memorial Day weekend and nearly thirty-one million of them will be driving.
The average U.S. traveler can expect to see the gasoline cost around $2.35 per gallon.
Today, in Jefferson City, gas was right under $2.50.
Even though some may think that price is too high compared to what we’ve seen in the past few months, it’s actually about one dollar cheaper than it was a year ago at this time.
A senior petroleum analyst with the company Gas Buddy said, “The latest data from the EIA showed the largest week-to-week buildup of crude oil (10.9 million barrels) since March of 2001 and that underscores the downward pressure on fuel prices,” said Patrick DeHaan.
Gas prices greatly depends on how high or low gas prices are.
As of today, crude oil has traded near $60 per barrel and has been the past several weeks.
