Jefferson City police: car pulled in front of motorcycle

A 23 year-old man was hurt in Jefferson City following a motorcycle crash Monday night.

Police say a car pulled in front of the bike around 9:30 p.m. near the corner of Ten Mile Drive and Missouri Boulevard.

The man tried to stop, but his motorcycle slid underneath the car. He was taken to St. Mary’s with moderate injuries.

The car’s driver, Scott Surface, 44, was wearing a seatbelt.

Traffic was detoured for about 20 minutes while officers investigated.
