Rain moves in Wednesday night, likely Thursday
An unsettled weather pattern returns Thursday as a warm front moves across Mid-Missouri, bringing rain and warmer temperatures. Out ahead of the front, showers will develop in southwestern Missouri and move into the Lake of the Ozarks & Truman Reservoir areas from 9pm to midnight. These showers will spread to the north and east through Thursday morning.
Occasional showers and a possible t-storm will continue through mid-afternoon Thursday before tapering off as the warm front moves north. Heading into the evening hours, forecast models show a few showers and t-storms forming in the warm, moist air in eastern Kansas, moving into Mid-Missouri Thursday night. These are not expected to be severe but could contain pockets of heavy rain through early Friday morning.
Potential rainfall amounts through Thursday evening range from a quarter to a half inch with with up to 1″ rain possible near HWY 65.
