Columbia Regional Airport back open after plane accident
Columbia Regional Airport is is back open after a plane got stuck in a grassy area when landing. The next flight to leave will depart at 8:55 a.m.
According to Columbia Regional’s flight schedule, American Airlines flight 3305 was arriving from Chicago at 1:55 Monday afternoon when one of the rear landing gear left the taxiway.
No one was injured.
The plane was moved off the runway overnight.
An April 4 flight to Chicago also got stuck in the mud after sliding off the runway. No one was injured in that incident.
