Tracking clear skies and average temperatures ahead

Tonight: We have a few scattered showers and storms moving into the southwestern parts of Central Missouri. The main threat with these storms will be brief downpours and lightning. By late tonight these storms will die off and continue to push east following I-44.

Tomorrow: We will start off the morning for Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and begin to give way to partly cloudy skies as the day continues into the afternoon. Our highs will top out into the mid-'80s and our dry conditions will start to take in effect.

Extended: A high-pressure system off to our northwest will slowly build into the northern parts of the midwest stalling overhead by mid-week. This will lead to mostly clear skies lasting into the upcoming weekend. Temperatures will gradually increase into the upper '80s and lower '90s by Thursday afternoon.
