Tracking patchy fog overnight, more sunshine this weekend
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with patchy fog developing by morning. Lows in the mid-60s.
TOMORROW: Morning fog followed by afternoon sunshine. Highs in the lower to mid-80s.
EXTENDED: Showers have largely exited the area with a few lingering spots north of I-70 that will rotate out of Mid-Missouri by early this evening. Scattered clouds stick around into tonight but will clear enough by daybreak that we'll likely see some fog developing as temperatures sink to near the dew point overnight. Fog dissipates by mid-morning, leaving us with gradually clearing skies for the start of the weekend, and temperatures rising into the low 80s during the day Saturday. Expect more sunshine by afternoon and a mainly dry day with the exception of a spot shower or storm in our southern counties near I-44. Sunday continues to look dry with the front well to our south, and early next week we'll see a ridge building across the Plains and Midwest, shutting off the water hose for a long time. Each day is progressively warmer as high temperatures climb back into the upper 80s by mid-week and creep back to 90 by Thursday and Friday. The entire week is expected to be dry with heat indices getting into the 95-97 degree range Thursday and Friday as humidity also increases
