Two men found near Missouri River by rescue crews

Two men were found by search crews near the Missouri River after reportedly getting lost Friday afternoon.

Crews searched the Missouri River near the Cooper, Boone, and Moniteau County line.

ABC 17 News confirmed with the Jamestown Fire Protection District that Boone County Fire had two boats in the Missouri River to search for the two men near Wooldridge.

Sources told ABC 17 News the men were fishing in the river and got off to go mushroom hunting in the nearby woods. The men apparently got disoriented due to the rugged terrain around the river.
