Orscheln breaks ground on Moberly facility

Orscheln is breaking ground on a new facility in Mid-Missouri.

Leaders said the new 15,000 square foot building in Moberly will be a testing lab.

It will include a state-of-the-art mechanical, environmental, and corrosion testing equipment.

When the new lab will complete, Orscheln’s growing manufacturing business will expand into the space.

While it’s not yet clear how many jobs this new site will create, leaders said it’s a step in the right direction.

“More so in our general operations it would help us complete of the projects we are working on, and that means new business that will end up with new jobs in our manufacturing operations,” said Bob Orscheln, CEO of the company.

The lab is being built on Washington St., which is where the former Moberly cheese plant used to be.
