Harrisburg home is total loss after massive fire

Fire crews spent most of Tuesday night battling flames in a house fire in Harrisburg.

It happened at 7556 Sweringen Road.

A neighbor apparently saw smoke coming from the house and went and knocked on the door. When no one answered, they called 911.

Fire fighters arrived on scene around 7:20 p.m. and said they had the fire under control within about 30 minutes.

However, fire officials said the 110-year-old home is a total loss. No one was home during the fire, but two dogs inside were killed.

They’re working to determine what caused the blaze. Stay with ABC 17 News for more updates.
