Columbia man arrested for rape
A Columbia man landed in jail over the weekend, accused of rape in Centralia.
Deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department arrested William Hilton, 28, on Sunday after getting in touch with police in Centralia.
Investigators there believe the woman was raped two weeks ago in Centralia. The victim apparently knows Hilton.
The case remains open, pending further charges.
