Man arrested with more than 25 forged credit cards

On Monday, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 70 in Boone County.

The passenger had a New York driver’s license identifying himself as Mamadou S. Diallo. The passenger told troopers he had rented the car and showed a rental agreement. It was later determined he had provided false identification and was correctly identified as Souleyman Diallo.

The trooper detected criminal activity and requested to search the vehicle. The driver and passenger consented to the search. Three credit cards were located under the passenger seat where Diallo had been sitting. The cards displayed the name, Amadou T. Barry. Diallo denied knowledge of the cards.

When troopers asked the driver about the cards, she identified Diallo as Amadou Barry. Continuing the search troopers found 25 more credit cards that were placed in white socks.

A computer jump drive was also found and it was discovered it contained software used in the manufacturing of counterfeit credit cards.

Diallo has been charged with counterfeiting, forgery, and possessing a forging instrument.
