Thursday, April 9 Storm Reports
A cold front quickly moved through mid-Missouri Thursday afternoon igniting storms as it moved into warm, moist air. A few storms become severe producing large hail and strong winds.
A strengthening storm near I-70 west of Boonville headed northeast into northern Boone County becoming more intense as it approached Centralia. Strong winds from the storm caused a tree to fall on a mobile home in Centralia.
As the storm moved into Audrain Co, it’s low level rotation became tighter, prompting a tornado warning for northern Audrain Co. Storm spotters reported a wall cloud but we did not receive any reports of a tornado on the ground.
