Rain Chances this week
Monday will start off mostly cloudy with a slight chance of light rain. The chance of rain will increase throughout the day, with the best chance of rain Monday evening. A few isolated thunderstorms will be possible ahead of a warm front late Monday night too.
This warm front will move through the area early Tuesday morning, bringing showers and thunderstorms with it. Southerly flow behind the warm front will bring in warmer and moister air, helping highs Tuesday to reach near 70.
More showers and thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, and could become severe. Model forecasts continue to show enough convection and wind shear for all modes of severe weather to be possible, although the main threats will be damaging winds and large hail.
Showers and thunderstorms will begin to taper off late Tuesday, with a few showers lingering into Wednesday morning. A cold front will completely push through Missouri Wednesday evening and conditions will become dry by Thursday.
