Highway Patrol releases DWI checkpoint results

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Tuesday released numbers from its latest DWI saturation efforts.

Troopers held a checkpoint this past Saturday in Boone Co.

Thirty cars were stopped, and two of those drivers received DWIs.

There were other various tickets handed out, including 5 for speeding, one for misdemeanor drugs, and a child restraint violation.

Authorities in Boone Co. and Jefferson City will be out in full force Tuesday night for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, cracking down on those drinking and getting behind the wheel.
