Man accused in Randolph Co. murder appears in court
A murder case in Randolph Co. moved forward Friday.
Jeffery Nichols is one of two suspects charged in a 2013 Easter Sunday crime spree that left a 92-year-old woman dead.
Nichols and another man admitted to killing Carmalita Kaser with a machete-like knife they stole from Walmart.
Investigators said the two men stole at least four vehicles and in the process they shot two men and beat another woman.
Nichols’ case has been moved to Hannibal on a change of venue.
Lawyers had a case management conference Friday.
