Two people die in Mid-Missouri house fire
ABC 17 News has confirmed two people are dead after an early morning house fire in Mexico, Mo., about 45 minutes northeast of Columbia.
Mexico police said the fire happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of North Washington.
The victims were identified as Alex Waage, 20, of Mexico, and Jessica Cravens, 27, of Centralia.
MPS said the home did not have a smoke detector.
The state fire marshal is also helping with the on-going investigation.
