Columbia cab driver threatened with gun by passenger

Columbia Police are investigating after a suspect threatened a cab driver with a gun Wednesday.

The Nick’s Taxi Cab Company driver said he picked up the suspect at Splasher’s Laundry on Paris Road around 2:00 p.m.

The suspect said he had a gun and told the driver to take him where he wanted to go.

He then got out of the cab in the middle of Old Highway 63 near Westlake Hardware and ran off.

So far there is no suspect description.
