Car chase in Holts Summit ends in arrest
Callaway County deputies said they chased 35-year-old Brian Jarvis going 100 mph Saturday night.
Sources show Jarvis has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1997.
To name a few are resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child.
Callaway County deputies assisted the Holts Summit Police in what started out as a routine traffic stop.
That’s when the driver, Brian Jarvis, took off at a high speed.
Authorities chased Jarvis on South Summit Drive to Highway 54.
Jarvis then made a U-turn and drove the wrong way on Highway 54 from Center Street to the New Bloomfield exit going 100 mph.
Maps show it was 16 miles from the point police started the chase to where it ended.
Deputies found methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia in the car and another passenger.
The passenger was questioned and released shortly after.
Jarvis has several drug, alcohol and domestic assault charges against him.
This was the third time Jarvis had led Callaway County authorities on a vehicle chase.
They also said he has been involved in several other vehicle pursuits in other Missouri counties.
Jarvis is in the Callaway County jail with a ten thousand dollar bond.
