Man pulled from car after overpass crash

Emergency crews worked for an hour to get one man out of a car involved in an accident on an I-70 overpass Saturday night.

The Boone County Fire Protection District and Missouri State Highway Patrol shut down the eastbound exit at mile marker 121 of I-70 after a car taking the exit crashed into another driving along the overpass. An official with the Fire Protection District told ABC 17 News one man had non-life threatening injuries, and crews had to cut the top of his car open to get him out.

The Highway Patrol kept the exit shut for an hour as crews rescued the man and cleaned up the scene. An ambulance did not take the other person involved in the crash to the hospital.
