JC shooting suspect connected to gang-related Columbia shooting

ABC 17 took a closer look into the suspects in a double shooting in Jefferson City Monday afternoon.

We found one of the suspects, Tavion Jones, is no stranger to authorities.

Jones was arrested in connection to another shooting ABC 17 reported on this past summer in Columbia.

ABC 17 found pictures of Jones with guns and possible drug paraphernalia.

Jones seemed to be very open about his “bad-boy” image.

On various social media sites, ABC 17 found pictures with several guns, and the captions under some of those pictures were violent and even menacing.

With captions like, “I like my side *expletive* the other side,” it doesn’t take much to know Jones is talking about a rival gang.

He goes by a few aliases; “Young Tay Doe,” “Tay,” and now most recently we’ve found him as “Young Flow Doe.”

Jones is accused of being the shooter in Monday’s drive-by in Jefferson City, but he’s also connected to a shooting on 4th of July weekend in Columbia.

He was accused of firing more than two dozen shots at a home on West Worley in Columbia that was tied to the gang, “Squad Up.”

In a photo you can see his animosity toward Squad Up. He’s pointing a gun at the camera, and the caption below says, “squaddd.”

Other pictures ABC 17 found show him smoking what appears to be joints. He’s holding multiple guns, and the caption said “n**** no, I’mma shoot *expletive* up.”

Court documents said Jones initially denied being at the scene of Monday’s shooting, but later admitted to being the trigger man.

He’s facing six charges and is being held on $200,000 bond.
