Unsettled weather ahead

Stubborn cloud cover has made for a gloomy weekend across Mid-Missouri and conditions won’t improve to start the week. A weather system is forming in northwestern parts of the United States and will approach Missouri Sunday night.

Spotty rain will form late Sunday night, but pick up on Monday. Showers will persist through the day on Monday with highs in the mid to upper 40s.

Then a cold front will push through Missouri Tuesday, cooling temperatures back down to near 40. There is also a chance of a wintry mix Tuesday.

Wednesday will be colder, with highs in the upper 30s. A few flurries or light snow will linger into Wednesday morning, before ending by Wednesday evening.
