Man arrested in Boone County for burglary, assault

A man from Gasconade County was arrested fur burglary and assault near Ashland Tuesday night. At around 11:30 p.m. deputies went to a home in the 16000 block of James Sapp Road for reports of a burglary.

The person living there told deputies Ryan Lieneke broke through the front door and attacked him. Deputies say Lieneke, 26, tried to run away, but was caught by a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper who had also come to the scene.

According to deputies, Lieneke and the victim know each other, and Tuesday’s incident was related to a previous dispute.

Lieneke was booked into the Boone County jail for burglary, property damage and assault.
