Light Snow Wednesday Night- Thursday

An upper level wave will move in from the southwest Wednesday night sending Pacific moisture over the cold air which has settled over Mid-Missouri. This will lead to light snow which will develop close to 9 PM at the Lake of the Ozarks and spread north to I-70 near midnight.

Snow is likely from midnight through noon Thursday, tapering off and ending in the afternoon, mixing with drizzle at times. Light accumulations of near a half in in northeastern Missouri to 2 inches south of I-70 are expected.

Temperatures will be below freezing for the morning commute Thursday and untreated roads could be slick. Travelers should plan for a slower morning commute Thursday due to wintry weather.
