Dinner train responds to troubles
ABC 17 first reported the contract termination of Columbia Star Dinner Train on Tuesday.
The owner of the Columbia Star Dinner Train said he has been in the process of changing ownership of the train since October.
He said they started experiencing some unexpected finance issues.
Owner Allen Brown said the company does owe the city $12,000 and have every intention of paying that bill.
Brown said the timing of events is unfortunate, mainly because their busiest time of year is during the holidays.
He said they are working on solving all of their current roadblocks with the city.
Brown also said he is hopeful the city will come up with a new agreement with different owners.
If that happens, the train can resume its schedule early in 2015.
