NAACP marchers enter Jefferson City

NAACP marchers made their way into the Capital City Friday afternoon.

They trekked 120 miles from Ferguson to Jefferson City as they “march for justice.”

Marchers were near Clark Avenue in Jefferson City at around noon Friday, and made their way into the Capitol around 1:00 p.m.

There were about 50 marchers in Friday’s group, which grew for the final leg of the march.

The rally was held in the Capitol Rotunda instead of near the Governor’s Mansion.

The group protested in the Rotunda until about 2:30, then left. There was more activity leading to building lockdowns and high tensions in Jefferson City late Friday afternoon.
