Measurable rain, warming temperatures Friday

Rain begins to move into Mid-Missouri from the southwest late Thursday night into early Friday as a warm front moves northeast.

This warm front will also dramatically increase temperatures by early Friday. High temperatures will reach the upper 40s and lower 50s along and south of the boundary. North of the warm front, temperatures will remain in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Rain will exit to the east of Highway 54 by 6-8:00 p.m. Most of us will see between 1″ to 1.25″ inches of rain by Friday night. Friday night temperatures fall into the lower to mid-30s.

We’ll be about 8-10 degrees cooler for Saturday afternoon, with some lingering clouds and peaks of sun. North winds take hold through the day.

Sunday will be a touch warmer, with a slight chance of rain late Sunday night, mainly north of I-70. Right now, temperatures look to be too warm to support anything other than rain.
