Business 50 project still on track in Cole Co.
The Business Highway 50 road construction project continues in Cole County.
The west of the project was paved in asphalt base Thursday, allowing the road to be opened back up late Thursday or early Friday.
The contractor will start milling the old asphalt on the last section of road next to the baseball fields.
Traffic will remain open in this section Friday and through the weekend.
Starting Monday, the last section will be closed to westbound traffic so more work can be completed.
Westbound traffic will have to use the Pioneer Trail to Rainbow Drive detour. Eastbound traffic will still be open and this will be a one lane road eastbound.
