Lincoln football player dies in a car accident

Former Lincoln defensive end Darryl Blackmon died in a car accident early Saturday morning, as confirmed by Lincoln University football coach Mike Jones.

Details are not known at this time. But Blackmon was a senior on the 2013 Blue Tigers squad. He is a native of Vallejo, Calif.

Blackmon is the second Lincoln player killed in a car accident in the last year. Joe Jackson-Parks died in a car accident in Warrensburg last November. He was 18 years old.
