Jefferson City mayor not running again

ABC 17 News confirmed Jefferson City mayor, Eric Struemph, is not running for another term.

ABC 17 News learned Struemph is leaving for health reasons and to spend more time with his mother while his father battles Alzheimer’s.

Struemph was first elected in February 2011, after serving as the city’s fourth ward councilman, replacing former mayor John Landwehr. Struemph is also the general manager of the electrical distributor, CED/Philips and Company.
