Red Cross still helping those impacted by Holts Summit fire

The Red Cross is continuing to help those impacted by an October 3 fire at a Callaway County apartment complex.

The fire destroyed more than two dozen units of the Evergreen Apartments in Holts Summit.

Along with the Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter, the Salvation Army branches in Jefferson City, SERVE in Fulton, and Habitat for Humanity created a recovery package for residents who lost their homes.

These agencies are helping those affected with referrals to get them rental assistance, furniture, clothing, and other necessary items.

26 of the 30 units were occupied with 39 adults and 21 children.
