Police asking for help in downtown shooting

Two days after a downtown Columbia shooting that injured one man police are asking for the community’s help.

Police Tuesday afternoon gave more information about the early Sunday morning shooting when someone opened fire at 10th and Broadway downtown.

One man was shot in the shoulder, but police said the victim is being uncooperative.

Police said they understand there’s a concern for public safety after the incident.

They’re putting an emphasis on the importance of the community helping catch the suspect or suspects.

The victim did let police search his car, where they found a bullet in the floorboard of the backseat.
