Columbia woman’s body found near Pilot Grove
An autopsy has been performed on the body of a 62-year-old woman who was found Saturday afternoon in Cooper County.
Authorities found the body of Donna McCart of Columbia lying near a gravel road west of Pilot Grove. they also found a handgun at the scene.
The autopsy performed Tuesday supported that the death was not a homicide.
Evidence was submitted for examination, and if no other new information is obtained, the case will likely be ruled a suicide.
