One arrested, one on the run in Columbia jewelry store robbery
One man has been arrested and two others are on the run following a robbery at Buchroeder’s jewelers late last month.
Police believe the suspects were involved in a robbery in Lincoln County less than two hours later.
Troy, Missouri Police arrested 23-year-old Robert Floyd for a jewelry store robbery on the same day in Lincoln County. Floyd was charged with stealing with a $100,000 cash bond.
Police have identified a second suspect in the robberies, 26-year-old Rayshaun Shaw, who is charged with stealing. He is still on the run.
Police believe there is a third suspect involved in the Columbia robbery.
Police say three men entered the store at 1021 E. Broadway at 4:37 p.m. and asked to see some jewelry. When the employee went to show a piece of jewelry to the men, they ran out of the store with the items.
Shortly before 6:00 Tuesday night, police responded to a felony stealing at the 400 Block of S. Main Street in Troy.
Police said two men took a case holding ten sets of diamond earrings worth about $13,600. They were seen leaving in a gold color newer model Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows and no license plates.
Troy police said Shaw and Floyd may be connected to about 13 other robberies, all within a 30-mile radius in the Saint Louis County area.
