Cause of death released after man found in the Lake of the Ozarks

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Camden County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the death of a 55-year-old Kaiser man who was found floating in the Lake of the Ozarks last month.

David Martin was found in the Niangua Arm on September 17.

An autopsy conducted on September 18 showed Martin had internal injuries consistent with a fall from a significant height.

Officials believe injuries from the fall may have resulted in Martin drowning.

Officials are still waiting for toxicology reports, and foul play is not suspected.
