Quincy man arrested for Montgomery Co. bank robbery

An armed robbery suspect was arrested in Callaway County late Thursday morning after allegedly robbing a Wellsville bank.

An Auxvasse police officer caught up to 29-year-old Pierre Parrish Jr. on State Hwy. B coming into the city.

The officer chased the suspect on Old Hwy. 54 near the intersection of Highway 54 in Callaway Co.

North Callaway High School was locked down for about 30 minutes as a precaution since the arrest took place just outside the school.

Three sheriff’s deputies were on campus until the threat had passed.

Parrish was taken to the Wellsville Police Department where he was set to be interviewed by the FBI.

Parrish was charged with first degree robbery, armed criminal action, and tampering with a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $250,000 cash-only and his first arraignment is set for Thursday morning in Montgomery Co.
