Car shot up at student housing complex
Columbia police were called to reports of gunfire early Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened in the 1400 block of Grindstone Parkway at the Den Apartment Complex around 2 a.m.
Officers arrived to find a car had been hit several times by bullets from a handgun.
No one was inside the car at the time.
Police found shell casings at the scene, but there is no suspect information at this time.
No injuries have been reported.
The Den opened August 16.
Since that time there have been sixteen 911 calls to the complex.
ABC 17 News compared that number to other student housing complexes in the area.
Aspen Heights, a student housing neighborhood, less than a mile from the Den has had 43 calls to service since August 16.
The Domain, located about four miles from the Den has had 8 calls.
