Woman taken to hospital after car crashes, goes airborne
A woman was hurt following a crash in Columbia Friday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:00 p.m. near the Schnucks at Forum and Stadium. The woman’s car hit a curb and went airborne.
Witnesses in the area said her vehicle stopped and then started speeding up, smashing through a pole on a red light camera, a tree, then landed in the lot outside the grocery store, hitting a parked car.
The woman was in her mid-late 20s and crawled out on her own. She went to the hospital in an ambulance.
