Temporary restraining order against developer lifted Friday

Construction on a downtown Columbia student housing complex was halted the same day it was supposed to start.

Opus Development was slated to break ground on a new student housing complex on Locust between 7th and 8th streets Friday. A Boone County judge issued a temporary restraining order against Opus, which was lifted late Friday afternoon. A hearing is scheduled for Monday.
