Jefferson City man killed in crash
A Jefferson City man is dead and another in the hospital after a wreck Thursday.
It happened at 4:33 p.m. on Route C, just west of Stringtown Station Road in Cole County.
Troopers say Anthony Gilpin, 39, was driving at a high rate of speed and passed a vehicle on the right outside shoulder. He lost control and flipped multiple times.
Investigators say Gilpin and a passenger, Fredrick Cundiff, were ejected.
Gilpin was pronounced dead at the scene and Cundiff was flown to University Hospital.
