Southern Boone soccer reloads, football tries to refocus

The Southern Boone football team is starting from scratch again. The Eagles hired former Moberly assistant Trent Tracy, their fourth coach since 2004. Southern Boone, coming off a 2-7 season, says Tracy’s coaching style is already connecting with the team. The first year head coach says he wants to build up morale for a program that has seen three wins in the last two seasons.

Meanwhile, Southern Boone soccer is going for its third straight 20-win season. The Eagles lost eight seniors from last year’s team, but return leading scorer Jacob Moore. After a record-setting 29-2 season, Chris Miller and the Eagles believe this program is building lots of momentum for the long-term.
