Tree limb cuts power to 1,200 in central Columbia

Roughly 1,200 people lost electricity in central Columbia Wednesday when a tree branch caught on fire after falling into a power line.

The flames were out by the time Columbia firefighters arrived on the scene near Rollins Road and Glenwood Avenue.

Nobody was hurt in the small fire. The outage was also corrected the same afternoon.
