Scott Boulevard to open to traffic Friday
Scott Boulevard between Vawter School Road and Bellview drive will reopen for two-way traffic Friday night.
The section of the Columbia road had been closed for 5 months while crews demolished and rebuilt the bridge over Hinkson Creek, constructed a new roundabout at Brushwood Lake Road, raised Scott Blvd. by 9 feet, and constructed a new MKT trail underpass among other improvements.
The parking lot to Jay Dix Station will be open when Scott Boulevard opens to two way traffic Friday night.
A portion of Vawter School Road will need to be closed for a short period of time to complete work just east of the roundabout.
Columbia Public Works said the project is expected to be complete by October 31.
