JC police investigate crash on Highway 50
Jefferson City police investigated a rollover accident Sunday morning in the 2100 block of Highway 50 in the east bound lanes.
A Jeep Cherokee driven by Curtis Perkins of Alice, Texas was driving in the left lane and initially ran off the left side of the road.
He then over-corrected, crossed over both lanes and went off the right side of the roadway and rolled over.
The passenger in the car was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Officers said they found evidence of alcohol use at the scene and that is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
