Tracking much cooler conditions

MONDAY: Showers and storms will stick with us throughout the morning. Those look to start breaking up into the afternoon, with some sunshine possible late this evening. A much needed break from the heat is moving in behind this front, with highs in the low 70’s today.

TONIGHT: That cooler air has a chance to settle in tonight under mostly clear skies. Lows will tumble all the way into the low 50’s.

EXTENDED: Tuesday will feature some of the best weather we’ve seen in a while. Highs will top out near 80 with no threat of humidity to battle. High-pressure remains in charge Wednesday but we’ll start to warm back up. Highs will reach into the upper 80’s and low 90’s for the rest of the week. Our next storm system of note moves through the Upper Midwest toward Thursday and Friday. Rain chances look pretty slim Thursday, and increase heading into the weekend. Some cooler air looks to return Saturday and Sunday behind a cold front, but the rain chances could linger.
