Three arrested following chase, manhunt, and bomb threat

Three people were arrested by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department after a day-long crime spree and police chase, manhunt, and bomb threat Friday.

Deputies learned there were three people in a light colored pickup truck who were known for committing crimes in Dixon.

Shortly after midnight Friday, deputies spotted the truck and a high speed chase followed, where the suspects were able to get away on a rural county road.

Near dawn, the suspects’ vehicle was spotted on a gravel road north of Highway D, filled with stolen property.

Residents in the area became concerned and told deputies the different locations the suspects had been at through the day.

Deputies responded to a home on Comet Road, just south of Dixon and found that one of the suspects left behind a bag full of clothes, weapons, and a suspected bomb.

While at the home, the suspect allegedly told witnesses that he was going to use the bomb to kill someone living nearby.

K9 units and Explosive Ordinance Disposal from Fort Leonard Wood were called in and determined the bomb had been disabled and was no longer a threat.

One woman and two men were are in custody at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department . One suspect, Taylor Carson, was arrested for felony parole violation. Theft, burglary, auto theft, terroristic threats, and harboring a felon charges are pending against the three.
