Clark Lane construction causing headaches for those living on the detour path

A portion of Clark Lane is closed off due to construction.

Residents who live on Hanover Boulevard, the path of the detour, said people are going too fast and causing problems.

Robert Shatlin has lived in the area for a few years and said they are referring to “Hanover Boulevard” as “Hanover Speedway.”

You can see as he drives by… He’s not doing thirty miles an hour. You can sit out here with a radar gun and they wouldn’t be going the speed limit,” said Shatlin.

Some drivers were clocked going anywhere from 33 to 40 miles per hour.

One man was tracked at 75 miles mph in a 30 mph zone.

Shatlin said, “This is 60 percent more traffic than usual.”

An irritated Shatlin said, “Put in temporary covers over the speed limit sign, put in temporary signs. Lower the speed limit!”
